Sexual mismatch

Are you a couple in a relationship where there is a sexual mismatch? Does one of you want more sex than the other person? Is this mismatch leading to a lot of conflict and tension in the relationship? Is communication breaking down because your inability to talk and resolve this often leads to fights and frustration? Do you both want to have a satisfying sex life, yet don’t know how to resolve these differences or to move beyond unhelpful conversations of doing?

All In The Family Counselling Center Pt. Ltd. and Tammy Fontana, lead therapist, are one of the only clinically trained sex and intimacy therapists, as well as mental health counsellor. Tammy Fontana has put together a series of educational talks designed to address common relationship issues around sex and intimacy, communication and conflict, to help couples learn some of the skills they need to become more effective.

All In The Family Counselling Center recognizes not everybody is ready to do therapy, but they want information and education. Our educational series will address common topics around sex and intimacy, sexual mismatch, asking for sex, turning it down, learning how to create an environment that is conducive for sex, negotiating the priority in sex.

We provide thoughtfully taylored confidential education classes. We realize not everyone is ready for therapy. Visit our website to learn about these: https://allinthefamilycounselling.com/educational-group-work

Our educational series will be conducted in complete privacy online in which you do not need to turn on your video or camera or reveal who you are. It can be as interactive as you would like by asking questions ahead of time or during the session through audio or sending messages. Case studies will be used to help couples see how therapy has helped other individuals and through their experiences help you self-reflect and learn how you might apply some of these skills.

At the end of the educational talk couples will receive a certificate of completion and couples can then apply to do therapy and attend our Croatia retreats – sensory experience in which we help couples translate their knowledge into action through our retreats that are designed to address the pleasures principles, all five senses that are required for sex.

Learning how to communicate and negotiate is extremely vital to lay the foundation for a healthy sexual relationship. Couples will not be able to progress onto new sexual techniques if they cannot communicate about their needs, their desires and their wants.

To be able to do this requires individuals to know how to recognize what they want, learn how to feel comfortable with what they want and then communicate it in a non-defensive and non-aggressive way. It also requires the other partner to be able to do the same and listen and communicate in a non-defensive manner. These will be the skills that we will start to address in the educational talks.
